The Highlands is part of the West Rosslyn Area Plan and includes development of two blocks adjacent to the Heights School designed by Bjarke Ingels Group. There are 450 rental apartments in 27 stories at Cortland East and 104 condominium residences in 26 stories at the Pierce. Cortland East includes 20,000 SF of ground floor retail and a 17,000 SF community fire station.
